I found out about this magician called Cyril Takayama and his troubled past really interested me. He ran away from his family when he was young and performed magic in the streets for only little sums of money, enough to keep him alive. And after all the difficulties he faced, look where he is now, and internationally renowned magician.
Here is an excerpt of his biography from wikipedia--->
Cyril Takayama was born and raised in Hollywood, California. His father is a native Ryukyuan from Okinawa prefecture in Japan, while his mother is Moroccan–French[1], both of whom were beauticians. Cyril Takayama had an eventful yet troubled upbringing. A recent profile in Magic (“The Magazine for Magicians”) describes him being expelled from school at 15 and then dropping out of school at the age of 16. Cyril's father, upset at his behavioral problems, sent him to Japan. While traveling he got off the plane during a stopover in Tokyo and never got back on. Cyril wound up busking on the streets of Shinjuku, and at times had so little money that he could afford just one meal a day. He attempted to contact Japan magic circles though they viewed him as an outsider. At the age of 17, Cyril met a rich Japanese businessman who saw his talent and employed him to work in his hotel paying him for each short range performance 4 to 5 days a week. For two years Cyril performed as a magician for weddings ]and parties. Within 2 months Cyril created his own stage magic show. Ito, impressed at Cyril's progress, sent Cyril to magic assemblies and competitions. In 1991, Cyril's dedication began to pay off. He was awarded a top prize by magic's international governing body, the International Federation of Magic Societies, as well in 1994. In 1992, he joined the International Brotherhood of Magicians.
Here is a video of him performing, it is in japanese but you will still understand so don't worry :).

Nigahiga
Nigahiga. Never heard of it? Then you probably don't know what youtube is. I don't if its just me but it seems to me Malaysians don't really know much about nigahiga, though they know about others like Smosh. Nigahiga currently is now number one in youtube with the most number of subcribers( 1.5 million+).
To me( and i guess the whole world ) they are ingenious and creative in the videos and i'm suprise they didn't reach the number one spot sooner. And they even have their own movie!
Here are a few of their most recent videos:

IQ tests - inflated results?
I had a chat with Arif on friday about a persons IQ and decided to do a test on the internet, and to my suprise i did pretty well but nevertheless I read that tests in the internet about your IQ have inflated results... much to my dismay.lol.
Here is a test which i found through Arif's blog, called Free IQ Test and decided to give it a try
Free-IQTest.net - Online IQ Test
Well to be fair this wasn't my first try, my first try was 150 and I wanted to do again, then i got 153 and then my third try led to 154. I wonder if i can get higher by pretending to be born in 1999...
Anyway, i challenge you all to beat me :P

Coming back from Vietnam
When the Malaysian Team came back to Malaysia from Vietnam after the ASEAN age group chess tournnament, reporters were at the airport to interview the malaysian gold medallists. We were able to grab 3 gold medals which all came from the Malaysian girls.
I did not win and actually did very badly for your information :(. Anyway i found this video which was from TV 3, reporting on Malaysia's chess performance. The complete malaysian team is shown when we shouted "Malaysia Boleh!". If you look closely you can actually see me :D. Other than the Gold medallists, my other teammates and myself was not interviewed because we did not win anything :( . It was pretty disappointing for some of them who almost obtain medals only to come back empty handed. I was not really disappointed because honestly... I never stood a chance but the others were pretty close.

Going to Vietnam
Hello,
I'm going to Vietnam on Saturday (June 6) and coming back on June 16. The purpose of my visit is to play chess in the 10th ASEAN+ AGE-GROUP CHESS CHAMPIONSHIPS where I will be representing Malaysia in the Under-20 age group. First time I have ever played chess in a competition outside of Malaysia, so this will be a nice experience for me.
The winner will be given the FIDE Master title, other than the glory and bragging rights that come with winning :D. I do not expect to win at all though, but maybe... i have a one in a million chance to win ;). I am seeded 16 that means theoritically I am weaker than the 15 players ahead of me so logically my chances to win are slim. Nevertheless, my aim is do better than my seeding which is in itself not easy to do.
One problem I am facing is that i have to finish my additional mathematics project in one day (Today!). Don't think I'm gonna finish, just hope teacher will spare me and not minus marks or something. Well, I gotta start packing and try to finish my project... bye

Why do i smell so nice?
As written in the title above, I put in front of you a question which even baffles expert from every reach of the globe. Why is Tariq so incredibly wangi? A study has been done by a Nobel Laureate of medicine from the University of Harvard. It seems that unlike other people, Tariq's armpit does not emit chemicals which irritate the nose but instead releases a form of ester that which gives the receiver a temporary feeling of terrestrial heaven. We have finally cracked the puzzling question!
Ok, some of you weirdos will think this super cool post is gross. What do I have to say? Relax! You narrow minded people... hehehehehehehe

Diversity Wins Britain's Got Talent !
Hello everybody,
If some of you are wondering what Britain's Got Talent is, it is a talent show where people of any form of talent will compete with each other. Similar to American Idol or Akademi Fantasia, only that this show is not only about singing. This show is not broadcast in Malaysia so if you would like to watch it you can check out Youtube.
For those of you who know about it, you must have heard of Susan Boyle, who WOW-ed the world with her singing. They even write about her in the local newspapers here in Malaysia. She was considered the strong favourite from the beginning to the end to win, but she lost to Diversity, a dance group. Interestingly, there were 2 dance groups in the finals, Diversity and Flawless. In the end, Diversity "outdanced" Flawless.
Continuing on, Diversity is an all-male group in which two of them are boys and the rest are adults. In their opening act in the finals, they formed the scorpion robot which appeared in transformers (very nice :D ). Here is their Britain's Got Talent Final full performance -------->

KISS performs in American Idol
A few days ago was the American Idol Finale for the 8th season, announcing the winner of the American Idol. This is, I believe the biggest finale they have ever done because so many big names came to perform.
One in particular was KISS which you must have heard before. I have never listened to their music and American Idol was the opener for me. They performed with Adam Lambert who became the runner-up of the competition even though he is considered to have magnificent talent (and more talent than the winner). Well anyway, it surprises me that KISS performed because American Idol is a family show and it kind of weird seeing a band like this perform. Entertaining nevertheless...
Edit: The videos of KISS performing was constantly copyrighted in youtube and so i decided to stop posting. Check out youtube if you would like to see.

Is Batman a superhero?
Have you ever ask yourself that question? Seriously, what kind of superhero is he? Does he have any super power? That's right!! He's a guy in a costume, a cool costume though.
Lets check out other superheroes, Superman, Flash, Green Lantern and whatever. They all got "powers" unlike the "superhero" Batman. Well, i don't really give a damn because i don't give one. I guess he is to fill the missing gap of fans that only like stuff which are real. The graphic novel "Watchmen" is somewhat similar to Batman as all the heroes are regular people except of course the blue naked guy ;).
Well as of this Batman case, see for yourself --->

Global warming, a bunch of lies?
Before this, i wrote that global warming might actually be a scam. I decided to touch more on this interesting subject.
Firstly, let me explain that I'm on the fence about this theory . Secondly, what i give in this post is just to explain the side that disapproves of global warming. Thirdly, enjoy.
The first thing i thought was that global warming was logically true, if it wasn't true then why would anyone want to support this theory? On the other hand, if it was true i would understand why some people would want to cover it up or claim it as being a lie because i assume these "people" are rich moguls whose income might be affected by global warming. Actually, it turns out that there are many probable greedy and selfish reasons why global warming would be supported by certain people even if it was false.
Let me point out, that these people who I am referring to as supporters of this 'lie' are not your average Joe's and Jane's but people of power and influence like the politicians and the like. From one website they stated that
That is a lot of money, and money is one reason why these 'people' are happy about global warming. I also read that taxes is one of the 'tricks' used to get into people's pockets.
Continuing on, notice that the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) did not prove that human activities are causing global warming. This is one important reason used by non-believers and it has certainly shaken my belief on global warming.
In conclusion, take note that all that is written here is just the tip of the iceberg and many more reasons have been given to point out that global warming is false. I shall not delve in this further and leave it to you to do your own 'research'. Allow me end this with a picture -
*(Sorry that the picture is small)*
Note: This is a list of scientists(100+) disagreeing with Obama on claims about global warming and this list was advertised in many newspapers. More importantly, many of the scientists are current and former UN IPCC reviewers and some have reversed their views on man-made warming and are now skeptical. Also note Nobel Laureate for Physics Dr. Ivar Giaever is in the list. Giaever endorsed Obama for President in an October 29, 2008 letter.

Earth hour?
Earth hour you say? I found this in the web where people told everyone to on ALL their lights during earth hour. Why? They believe global warming is a hoax and are trying to make a statement to everyone that it is total nonsense. Out of curiousity, i searched the internet for articles concerning the "hoax" of global warming. I have to admit, it did make me doubt somewhat about the theory of global warming. I'm actually now on the fence about this theory. Nevertheless, after doing a bit of internet research I'm leaning more to the fact that this theory is true. There are diehard supporters for both sides and both have their own logical reasons.
Anyways, here is a funny video i got from youtube concerning global warming. And I don't mean to put this video as an educational video about the theory of global warming being a load of bullshit. Check the internet if you want reliable information concerning the "swindle" of global warming...

Konserto Terakhir
Konserto terakhir ( The Last Concert) was in my view and taste a masterpiece. The sad story of Hilmi. With no schooling, Hilmi worked as gardener. Fell in love with his "cousin", Hayati. Became a musician after that and a truly talented one. A very sad story all the way filled with love stories...
The last concert was a very apt title in my opinion. In the ending of the novel the title leaves a strong impression. An internationally recognized musician, Hilmi was supposed to be the conductor of the orchestra to be performed infront of royalty and to be broadcasted throughout the whole country. An accident happened. An ambulance came. Hilmi unconcious. His long life secret love, Hayati who was apart from Hilmi for many years return from London to see Hilmi. She became the sudden substitute of Hilmi and lead the orchestra. After everything finished, all the people from the past returned to Hilmi's life after so many years. They visited him in the hospital. Hilmi's foster father told the true identity of Hilmi's father. Hilmi is actually the brother of Hayati. They left the hospital. Hilmi died a few minutes later. Hilmi's true father, upon hearing his son's death fell down to the floor holding the phone in his hand and passed away...
Imagining the story would pierce my heart, the sadness would creep inside me...

MSSM
I'm gonna talk about my MSSM experience. Some of you might have heard about it in the assembly about students from BB who went for MSSM for rugby, chess and squash. It is in my experience that most do not know what MSSM , MSSS or MSSD is, or at least i think so. They only have a rough idea of what it is, not realising how big the event is.
MSS refers in BM to Majlis Sukan Sekolah, the end of the "MSS" shows the level of the tournament. Many students have went to MSSD, which refers to Majlis Sukan Sekolah Daerah. MSSD is for any sport whether for badminton, football or whatever. And if you are among the best in your district you'll be chosen for the next one - MSSS. The S refers to selangor, so for other states they use their respective state's name (eg. Kedah is MSSK i think). It continues, if you are among the best in your state you will go to the next one which is MSSM - a prestigious tourmament for youths in malaysia. For some sports, after MSSM is a more prestigious one, which is representing your country for tournaments like ASEAN, ASIAN and World tournaments. This is the main goal of many youths who are active in sports, if they think they can make it that is...
MSSD, MSSS and MSSM have three groups( Under-12, Under-15 , Under-18 age) and are separated to boys and girls. But it depends on the sport, i doubt MSSM for rugby has a girls section.
Anyway, my explanation is done. My experience now. MSSM for chess this year was in Selangor. Yeah, we were the host state. For those going for MSSM, the last thing they ever want is the tournament being held in their own ground. Imagine going for the olympics, and it was held in your country! That would be boring, people like to travel to other countries.
Moreover i have the luck of going for MSSM for 4 years. My first one, my most memorable one, was held in Terengganu when i was form 2. One thing about MSSM is that it is very very fun. For MSSM catur, you get to stay in a hotel, around 7 days with your friends(imgaine that). The experience is very memorable and i wished i could go another time but my school days are over since i'm gonna go college next year. In Terengganu, we got to play beach football, eat their signature fish dishes, rest beside the beach etc. Not only that, Selangor in chess is among the best in the country. So we are respected and revered by other states (which is nice xD).

Famous car companies
I'm kind of a fan of cars. Well, I searched the internet for famous car companies and obviously names like Ferrari and Lamborghini popped out but I noticed some famous car companies which are not known in malaysia (well, i never knew them). I decided to talk about them here.
Abarth. Heard of it before?
The car logo itself is pretty cool to me. Abarth is an Italian racing car maker founded by Italian-Austrian Karl (Carlo) Abarth in Turin in 1949. I like the scorpion of the logo which is the founders astronomical sign. Though the cars they make look weird.
What about Vauxhall?
It is a British company. The Vauxhall logo is based on a mythical creature called the "Griffin". Hmm, where have i heard the word "griffin" before? You can guess... Hairy Potter :).
Lastly there is Alfa romeo, which I'm pretty sure I've heard somewhere but didn't know it was a car company.
I also remember seeing the logo somewhere but i don't really know where I've seen it though.Alfa Romeo Automobiles S.p.A. is an Italian automaker founded on 24 June 1910 in Milan. Alfa Romeo has been a part of the Fiat Group since 1986. The company was originally known as A.L.F.A., which is an acronym for Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili (translated: Lombard Automobile Factory, Public Company). Thats all for now.

HI there, just watch American idol(friday). There was this wacko guy that cracked me up. He's so freaking creative. He did all kinds of weird funny stuff and when the judges said no to him he ran out of the room ecstatic and happy shouting "I GOT A NO!! YEAH!!!". Man, i can't stop laughing.
Okie dokie.

Open day... and a Challenge!!!!
What am i talking about? Its what i call Heaven for some and Hell for some. Its what i call Respect gained for some and respect lost for some. And its what i call a day where students collect fruits of what they sow. This something is what i call "Open day".
Ok ok, i'm gonna stop with the boring talk. Anyway my parents are angry especially because i failed add maths. All my brothers never failed add maths and thus i shouldn't too. Guess i'm the stupid one xD.
Well let me cut to the point, this 'challenge' is directed to those who did well for their exam(yeah, people like Alan, Arif, whatever). In the the future exams, I will beat you all and be number one in the form!!

Note: Yeah, a damn hard task but at least since i made this challenge it will give me more motivation and benefit me in the long run xD

School tomorrow
hi,
School starts tomorrow... I'm kinda excited for my results eventhough i know i won't do well xD. Well, i just wanna say good luck to everybody for their results!
BTW i just came back from terengganu, and for those of you who has never been there let me just tell you my experiences. Basically the wind is blowing 24/7 when i was there, it was because of the monsoon, and it also rained very often(not heavy rain though).
One thing i noticed was that their astro connection is really bad cause of the constant wind and rain. I kinda pity them lol.
ok ok, i'm not gonna bore you anymore. Bye
